Welcome to your Sunday Sewing newspaper. We wanted to thank you for the outpouring of support this week! We got many lovely messages and orders from you, we can’t tell you how much we appreciated it. Although the warehouse is now closed, our website is still live and you can still browse from hundreds of PDF patterns, including some brand new ones!

Grab a cuppa and scroll down for your weekly dose of Sewspiration and don’t forget to watch the latest Sew Down for even more sewing ins & outs.

Sylvia from The Ravel Out made the spring-est Spring dress she has ever made and we’re so glad she shared it with us. What a beaut! It’s McCall’s 7974 in a coral coloured cotton eyelet.

Kathy from Sew Dainty used Tilly and the Buttons’ latest book Make It Simple to create these “secret pyjamas” aka the Tabitha dress!

Who knew that the Friday Pattern Company Wilder Gown could look so lovely as a top? Holly at That’s Sew Peachy is looking gorgeous!

Manju of SewManju stitched the Vogue 8836 wide legged pants and a Pauline Alice Eliana dress which she hacked into a blouse with a gathered neckline. This outfit = perfection!

This wonderful outfit is made by Holly from Holly Dolly Darling as she paired a Megan Nielsen Jarrah sweater with a Tessuti patterns Evie bias skirt. This is definitely a winning combination!

Karen from Did You Make That? says she’s been playing with make-up and dresses and she’s looking fab whilst at it! Her dress is a combination of the Sew Over It Ultimate Shift Dress and the Deer & Doe Myosotis Dress. Check out her blog for more info.

This Simplicity 8652 & Megan Nielsen Rowan Hack are a match made in heaven! We absolutely adore this outfit, made by Katie from Katie Makes A dress.

It was Melissa’s (FehrTrade) birthday and she made a Ruska knot dress from the Named Patterns “Breaking the Pattern” book for the occasion! We love how Ruska is a pretty standard knit dress, but with a super fun twist.

Mimi G aka Mimi G Style used McCall’s 8043 to make this wonderfully bright top. We could not love this look more even if we tried!

Brittany aka Brittany J. Jones looks so incredibly stylish, it’s almost hard to believe that McCalls 8047 is made for knitted fabrics.

This fabric and the Tilly and the Buttons Indigo dress are made for each other. Becky @beckymarkus nailed it! Read her pattern review on our website!

Allll the heart eyes for this beautiful photo! Victoria @victorialucilleanne made the dreamiest top using McCall’s 7977, and you can read more about it here.

Here are the latest new sewing pattern releases from independent designers in the sewing community. We are passionate about championing indie designers in the sewing community and we are always looking for new sewing pattern designers we can feature. With over 200 designers from around the world creating patterns for us to sew with, there is a lot of choice. If you need some help finding your next sewing project search for more ideas using our sewing-specific search tool.

We love nothing more that sitting down at the end of the day and watching sewing blogs, it’s always fun to see what patterns other makers have been sewing up or what they’ve bought in their fabric hauls! Each week we share sewing videos from the sewing community where you can pick up tips, sewing advice and catch up on the latest high street and fashion trends. You’ll also be able to see what other makers in the community have been up to.

Each week we also share all the new fabrics, haberdashery and kits from independent sewing businesses that we work with. You’ll find the latest fabric collections to hit the shelves, new haberdashery sales, offers and other exciting launches. Take a look at all the products that small businesses have curated from your perusal this week.

The Romance collection from Lamazi Fabrics is what tencel-fabric-dreams are made of! We absolutely love the silky textured surface and the beautiful bark design.

You can always count on yellow to brighten up your day. And this pretty Nani Iro linen from The Draper's Daughter is proof of that. What a beauty!

Isn't this organic cotton sateen from Cloth & Candy dreamy? The floral print is gorgeous and we’re imagining a floaty Spring dress in this!

This delicious box of goodies is this month’s Sew Hayley Jane's sewing subscription box. Don’t worry if you’re sad that you missed out on this one (we totally understand), new sign ups for May are opening soon!

Are you currently sewing up a storm? Add these Pink Coat Club woven labels to your garments for the perfect finish!

We spotted this fabric at Cloth Spot and we really love the colours and the cool print. Then we saw that it’s described as a softer-than-you-can-imagine fleecy pile, and now we feel like we really NEED it to make a head-to-toe lounge outfit!

We really love to browse the Pin & Sew website... Especially when we’re looking for good quality jerseys. From plains to prints and from drapey to textured, they have it all!

A viscose fabric like this one from Fabrics Galore needs some attention, because any outfit in this would just be instantly wonderful!

And once again, the cutest fabric award is won by… Cats! Lulou Designs have done it again with this super cute lightweight French Terry.

We have a big problem with these dreamy linens from Sew Me Sunshine... We want to make the perfect summer outfit, but which colour way shall we go for? They’re both so lush!

Beyond Measure might be taking a break at the moment, but you can still buy a gift voucher to treat a friend or yourself for when the shop re-opens!

You now get 50% off all Burda patterns on the Sew Direct website! Including this beautiful floaty top with a really pretty flounce and the dreamiest sleeves.

We keep a handy list of sewing events, exhibitions and meet ups happening in the sewing community all over the world on our sewing social calendar here.

Come and join our sewing Facebook group where we are chatting about sewing plans, new patterns and helping each other out with projects.
